Geostrategic position

karta srModernisation of different direction roads, which are crossing through Aranđelovac, give to the municipality transit character. Traffic situation in Arandjelovac is relatively favorable. Through the center of the town passes the M-4 main road from East to West, connecting the main road along Ibar river to highway E-75. With M-4 main road and regional road P-202 over Orasac it is realized the connection to the main road M-23 south to Kragujevac and Belgrade to the north. Main road M-4 will achieve a connection with the planned highway E-763 Belgrade-South Adriatic. Distance from Arandjelovac to Kragujevac is 55 km, it is 74 km from Belgrade, Mladenovac is about 22 km far and 14 km to Topola and to Lazarevc about 33km. This position enables the connection of the administrative, commercial and tourist centers and benchmarks.

 

Bukovicka spa

bukovicka banjaThe place is best known for alleviating acidic water which was disovered by Dositej Obradovic who was healed here in 1811. At the personal request of Prince Milos, Bukovik`s water was brought in bottles and used in The Court, and in the early 20th century mineral water "Prince Milos." Began to be hand bottled. This water received lots of medals for quality. In addition, it is well known bukovicka spa magnificent park which covers an area of 21.5 hectares with a permanent display of marble sculptures, made by the most famous domestic and foreign authors, resulting in a 47 year existence of the international festival of arts "Marble and sounds." All cultural events are performed in summer outdoor stage. In the park there is the Pavilion of Prince Miloš and several mineral water springs.

 

Risovaca cave

pecina02During long term studies of Risovaca cave there were discovered plenty of fossilized bones and teeth of many animal species during the last Ice Age lived on the steppes around Risovaca hill. Found stone and bone tools confirm that Risovaca cave was the habitat of Neanderthal hunters in the middle period of the Old Stone Age. Due to its natural characteristics and cultural and historical cave was declared a natural monument and cultural heritage of great importance. oplenacOplenac Is the hill next to Topola on which is the mausoleum of dynasty Karadjordjevic. Prince Alexander has built the first vineyards here, and King Peter I of Yugoslavia began building of the church structure, and the entire historical-memorial complex, which became the Foundation Karadjordjevic family. Today, the complex includes the church of Sv.George, the mausoleum of the Serbian royal family, the king's vineyards Museum (winegrower's house), the house of King Peter, King's mansion, the queen's mansion, Karadjordje`s church, monument of Karadjordje and the hotel. The church has five cupolas. Inside dimensions of the temple are 30 meters and 27 meters height ceiling.The temple has two sarcophagi: the north choir sarcophagus of King Peter I (1844-1921), founder of the church, and in the southern choir sarcophagus Karadjordje (1762-1817), the first ruler and founder of the renewed Serbian dynasty. The whole mosaic consists of 725 painted compositions (513 and 212 in the temple in the crypt), which have 1,500 pieces. Total area of the mosaic is 3,500 square meters, with 40 million colored glass tiles which have 15,000 different colors. There are 39 graves in the crypt. So far, there are 22 members of the dynasty buried on Oplenac.
